This place helps me keep the old sanity. Since arriving in Nassau, it’s been hard for me to stay engaged and conscientious to design and photograph. Mostly because I don’t have full-time responsibility, and I’m not complaining. (I felt pretty low going to the office everyday to oversee production of a product I was increasingly disillusioned with, back in the day.)
So now I volunteer my services on a spesh project until things pick up, and there is design, photography and photo editing involved. I can’t work from home everyday because I like to nap and watch TV too much. So I am very grateful to John, a good friend to us transplants, for offering to let me work at Popop Studios. The direct result is meeting interesting people, discovering the souse house for lunch, and actually getting things done.
Less sad face, more fuel for thought.
