Davidson got his low caesar from a driveby discovery in Fort Lauderdale. Seriously, Guido does such a good job that D can’t stop singing his praises for hours after. Why are we in Florida? One day stopover on the way to Buenos Aires.
Good thing Davidson is a little kan cheong (means anxious in hokkien) and wanted to get there early. Initially, I thought our nerves and our credit cards were hit the hardest but maybe Chante was most put out—this golden girl doesn’t get around much and it shows.
We spent a week and a half in an extended stay schmotel near the airport. Classy all the way.
Why? Because we had to help Davidson’s mum recuperate from knee replacement surgery. Mostly, we cooked and cleaned. And tried to get out a bit. Here are some pictures from our day trip (ok, half a day) to Miami. We spent (what feels like) a split second in Little Haiti, the design district and a parking lot in Hialeah. And we caught up with Tasha, the consummate hostess. Heart Tasha.
